1990 K5, Runs terrible: Need help

Has a brand new filter. Double checked fuel pressure today, and its about 7 psi max so i will be buying a new fuel pump tonight, only 30 bucks new with a warranty from rock auto. Will be a pain to fix, but still worth it.

You're on the right track. 7lbs isn't enough fp to open up even a TBI injector. Not with a good spray pattern anyway. Gas is probably just dribbling out of one injector.

Ok, so when i pulled the fuel pump i found the problem. The little rubber hose that connects the actual pump to the sending unit was completely disintigrated and had a large hole in it, when removing it, it was very moldable, like clay. Replaced that with some fuel line and two hose clamps and she runs better than ever before. Such a headache for such a simple fix. And after dealing with some tire woes the beast is back on the road again.

Man, had I gone through all that, I probably would have changed the pump while I was in there. Just my 2 cents. The main thing is that the problem is solved and she's back on the road again!

Would have replaced it then and there, but i didnt have a strainer for the bosch pump or the correct wiring. if the pump goes out i will just open the floor back up and take care of it.
