    My foot turns out to be the biggest issue with the big block and mileage above 10mpg. I did commute into the city with it for 2 weeks getting an average of 12mpg though.

    1968-72 Nova do fit. However, you are after a 2" primary and that may or may not fit well. My headers came from a BBC Nova owner and they are 1-3/4 primary's that fit with no issues. Even with my SM465 transmission and its Z-Bar linkage. These were dented by the PO of them.

    Progress looks good so far. Just know where your gas stations are on your travels. My big block likes to swallow the fuel. My right foot action may or may not have anything to do with our mileage as well.

    You can get a stat with a simple brass weight in it that allows trapped air to pass. It seals up otherwise.

    Amazon has inexpensive digital temp gauges. I put one in my daughters Camaro to verify actual temps versus the stock gauge that is notorious for being wrong.
