Gutted the dash area, started to replace the big fuel gauge with the new tach. Install small fuel gauge where the clock was.
(Until I discovered that I received the wrong printed circuit)
Cleaned & painted some more interior trim pieces.
Sweated a lot..........

you'll have to do an in depth process explanation on that large tach conversion, been considering doing it myself. . .

Did the steering stabilizer this morning.

In fact, started at 7:30 - woke up thinking let's do this ...

:birgits_tiredcoffee

Only fail was putting it back on - stripped the threads sucking the tapered portion in the drag link. It's on, though.

Old one installation details.

Now, the fun one - the shift indicator.

Started around 3:30 - finished around 5.

Pics tell a better story of the limited working room, so here goes.

Left side bolt. Bezel in the way.

The way :

(that is a quarter inch extension and wobbler, BTW )

Old vs new - I put the trolley in the old with the new spring.

The plastic column bowl is busted where the clip goes on - I followed someone else's lead with Gorilla tape...

I'd glue the broken piece in if I had it.

The wire was popping up and hanging on a piece of metal on the indicator housing- taped over that ******** in an engineering masterpiece.

:p

Next post - out of pic allotment.

I got my old pointer glued on, but my glue engineering for the tab did not hold.

I think it could, however. :)

I parked my truck at the body shop for a month only to be told Friday that he sold his shop and it would be another month before he could get to it at his home shop. Does that qualify as doing something or doing nothing to my square?

An attempt at doing something probably qualifies as doing something?

Havent done anything to it but i did start buying what shes needs to see the road again. I got these due to their gerth These are thick and heavy! Got both floor supports, both inner rockers but passed on the outter rockers as he only had one. I didnt want to buy one heavy one and end up with one chinsey thin one. The lower fender patches and cold refreshment were a gift from @Turbo4whl , thanks so much wayne!!! So if any of you guys know where i can get heavy grade rockers please let me know. I had thoughts of buying this bed that matched my truck also until the guy told me $1800! :nono::Nonono:
