So I have a question I was doing some digging in the shed all these posts about swapping over to a manual. If you look close at the picture there is a extra hole on the brake pedal is that so you can use it for a hydroboost or vaccum brakes? The distance seems right. Mine has the hole as well
I’m not sure

Another thought is a hydroboost pedal the same if it was a auto or manual truck other then the pad of course? Can you take your hyrdoboost pedal and put it in a manual step up? Then all you'd need is the hydraulic clutch stuff...

Is that Larry's Suburban? It almost has to be.
Yes I would have posted the link but didnt know. Hes the first one that came to mind with a 4500 and a 208. And he has pretty in depth threads of his builds.

So ill let you decide im not an expert but I see no reason that you cant take a hydroboost brake pedal and put it in a vac brake clutch set up. I pulled out what I had to compare them. The pedals are exactly the same other then where the booster push rod hooks. Right is a vaccum pedal middle is a hydroboost and on the left is the pedal out of my stick shift assembly. Which looks like you can use for either style brakes. Maybe this is old news but ive never read it anywhere. Or maybe im wrong lol......

So even is all you find is a hydro/vaccum pedal assembly should be able to just swap out the pedal from your truck.

$450 is mighty darn steep!

Now if he had stripped and powder coated all the parts and rebuilt the master and slave units . . .

Pulled em out yesterday. Got the reseal kit for the hydro boost and the 205 t-case. The last thing I want is to put all this stuff in only to have leaks cause it's been sitting for a couple years.

Yeah, but I don’t see the extra pedal assembly you promised me...

Franken-

I've been trying to figure out how one changes the rear deal in the 4500 (4wd). From what I can tell, there is no seal in the adapter and the space inside the adapter will contain fluid for the 5tth gear.

However, there had to be a seal on the output shaft between the trans case and the extension?

You any info on this?

I’m thinking once I get a clutch pedal in, I’m going to need a thinner backed bench. There isn’t much leg room. I’m not super tall at a bit over 6’, but I have the same inseam as my brother who’s 6’4”.

I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for one from a 88+. They seem like they have thinner backs.
