Kind of like 87-91 fox body Mustangs...them sombitches are GONE. Already MIA... Broke in half and trashed. Snapped behind the door jamb lol..
I+m nit a FORD guy but damn, there has got to be a BLOODTHIRSTY market for an old 5.0 GTLX .
Hook me up the white one with gray interior and the thin red stripe...**** that's hot.
Slap on 3.73s and underdrive pulleys to eat IROCS.

Everybody knows it... Them were the good old days!

They used to make cool cars out of metal.

I mean come on man...that was a ******* cool assed car but they are GONE.
Giggidy gone.

They were ok looking. But they also looked like a slightly larger version of the Escort. Remember the EXP?

Lol.... wtf Mercury LYNX?
Ew. I thought we were talking about pretty cars...

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

The car runs....okay. WAY more peppy with the new knock sensor..it doesn't make a lot of sense to me though.
Granted I am SERIOUSLY HUNG UP in the SeS light. I know that it is sucking the life but probably not as bad as the ancient and uber crusty O2 sensors WHICH arrived in the mail and throw no code.
Also granted that I KNOW there is a ***** u-joint abortion going on that kills the remaining useable power.
Whatever is/was left is in the brakes I believe. That will prove Verrrrryyyy interesting when I finally get there. I need a focking emergency brake handle VERY bad. There may be a transmission thing - too early to tell on Day 24.

Oh yeah. The t-stat has been leaking since the A/C got fixed. The gasket blew. I told you it runs too hot...
The fan switch is working good though.
I kind of wanted the a/c fixed so I have that fan control.
Can't ******* fix it fast enough. Stupid thermostat housing.!

Want to go somewhere? Gotta pay the one gallon water toll .

First .

All of these things together are holding the Helen down but I know where they live.
I have the tools, the knowledge , the willingness AND the money.

What I don't have is the time. I break my t-stat bolt and get scheduled six days a week. Super stressful with the broken bolt.. :( .
Everything else is behind that...
My priority gets fixed SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! Until then there are three gallons of water in the car at all times.
It sucks.
Sucks knowing the next time that I work on it? She's actually going out of service by my own hand.:( I feel terrible!
BUT Hay No pressure!
I'm going to touch it with a wrench and break MORE ****...I can't wait.

Don't I have another Tuned Port intake though right?
Yeah I do but It's an '85...I already thought of that...

SO how is it running?
Okay...i'm still stretching her out. ;)
I like your return line idea but sluggish isn't the right word..Helen likes me.
So does Punky Brewster - I found out today and she IS playing hard to get. Even I am going to have a seat!

You think that story's over but it's ready to begin...(Paul Revere)

Helen should peel out farther ... I can steer it straight and i've got the balls to stick in it...but I think the wheels should keep spinning haha. That's how it's running!
****** 2.77s are killin me. :p

I believe these repairs are coming together into a great crescendo, like in the Waltz of 1812. It's all Very exciting.

I'll tell yous a car insurance story LATER. (It's still in the making but it'll be GREAT!)

I like tellin you guys stories...:gathering:

I have no idea what production numbers were but they sure as hell weren't as strong as a Camaro...kinda sad.
I like the notch fox bodies, but can’t stand the fast backs.

I used to think this was one of the coolest things ever when I was a kid.

This one was pretty nice with what appeared to be an all original interior. It was very cool. The car was very nice but had some blemishes and had at least one repaint. Also a 383 with true dual exhaust and chambered mufflers (neat!) But they were asking a crazy 18k figure.

Wow, 18k sounds REALLY high!

Somebody break it to that guy that he's never going to get all of his money back out of her and he should have stopped much , much sooner!

My night recently took a turn for the better. I was texting with "Punky Brewster" earlier and just when i'm about to determine that this chick MUST BE CRAZY, the veil slipped. I could see the real person if only for a brief second..she's gorgeous.

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

Slipped just enough to determine that she's flirting with me! I do NOT believe she wanted me to see it. It's really fun!
Omg. :fishing1:
Things like that ...

Anyways, i've got a good story for yous.

I FINALLY got rid of all the faux "carbon fiber" (sticker) that was all over Helen's dashboard. :doublepuke:

I did something tonight that I didn't know I didn't want to do.

I drove the IROC in the rain.
It sucked! Like way suck..
Both of the windows were leaking.
The T-tops leaked in the center onto where the console should be. Wonder why I have no headliner? I don't anymore. Sad.Face. :(

Oh that's not all!

Most times, when I turn on the A/C the car stumbles and dies.
Raining HARD. Windows up, now no defroster so add windows fogging. THREE leaks AT LEAST.

Wipers?
One speed.
Slow.
Lucky I can't break 40 eh?

My steering column gremlins are very, very, real.
You should see the *******.MESS behind the radio. Think wire nuts and zip ties with wires that change color post "connection".

Shoot me now. Please?

Oh yeah. Running the Wipers will also kill the car..ESPECIALLY when used in cojunction with the blower.

Neat!
Custom.
Trick?
Just when everything was going so good too lol.. A whole other TREE of problems to fix, Hooray!
Did I mention that I had to drive about 40 m.p.h. because all Helen REALLY WANTED TO DO was drive down the highway in a circle, ass first, while I was trying to get to work...on time.
I made it too, with about thirty seconds to spare - shiiit.

Uh huh.

What happened to that 40 year old work truck ? That was such a good idea!

Has nothing to do with the people behind it. Just a pretty mean car.

On mine the hatch glass to metal mating seal was letting water it to the trunk.

It's odd. I've had a dozen or more third gens and not a single one has had a water leak in the rear hatch area. T-top leaks sure. But always dry in the back.
