2 wheel set up complete with shifter and bellhousing. Been looking forever for one for the hot rod. Running 4.11s with a beefed up saginaw I turn 4500 at 55mph not good for a long haul.

Cool, you should have everything you need then. I've still got to build mine and the shifter. Along with a clutch pedal swap and add slave and master cylinder. It's going to be awhile yet and I hope I can really do it. Not sure a clutch is a good idea for me with my health related ailments, but still I hope to do it at least as long as I can tolerate it. Only living once.

I just picked one up on friday, came with the front shaft, 208 t-case and cross member. Don't have any real plan to use it, but as uncommon as it seems to be I couldn't pass it up for $200.

yep, the shifter is pretty solid right now though. I've been soaking it in PB Blaster since Friday. I'll give it a week of that then start the dis-assembly.

Awesome, yep you really stole it. I paid $80 for mine, but I didn't get the Tcase with it. I got the trans, shifter, crossmember and front driveshaft for 80 dollas. And if you weren't aware, that trans has the same output shaft as a Th400 so it needs the 32 spline Tcase. I got lucky there too.

I had 2 27 spline units. So I put one up for sale for $100. A guy came to buy it. Poor dude was broke as I was and begging me to be straight up with him if it worked or not, cuz this was his last $100 and he borrowed that, but he needed his truck running to get to work. I said, it worked when pulled buddy but that's all I can assure you about it. It came out of a truck that blew the rear axle. Then he said, his buddy gave him one, bolted it all in but it didn't work, that is was like the input shaft was to big. I asked if he had it with him, and it was in the truck of this car he was in. I looked at it and said, yeah this for a Th400 or SM465 and is 32 spline buddy, you need the 27 spline for Th350 or 700r4. He said yeah his truck was a 700r4. I asked him to be straight with me, did it work. He said yes, my buddy gave it to me, said it worked but he upgraded to an NP205 for his mud truck. I played with it, it felt tight and had all the gears. I told the guy, welll, I really need that $100, but hell dude, you're broke as I am right now, and I do need this transfer case for my A883, if you want to help me see if it bolts up and engages to my trans here in the garage, and it does, I'll trade you straight across. Then his wife/gf got out of the car and wondered wth was up. It bolted up, engaged and all. Man oh man was that dude and his wife/gf ever happy that they got to keep that $100. I almost thought I was going to get a bj from her. :shrug:She did give me a biggo hug. Kinda cool when you can help someone out like that and benefited too so it was all good.

Yeah, you can't beat an even trade. I found this one just randomly browsing Craigslist. It was in a salvage yard one town over. Hadn't ever been to this yard , never knew it existed. But I'll be going back for sure. I haven't seen a collection of this size and vintages since I was in high school over twenty years ago. Saw a couple of sixties vintage bodies, 3 or 4 old postal jeeps, and a huge collection spanning the late seventies all the way through the mid to late nineties. When I called that morning to see if he still had it he says "bring some cash we'll make a deal" I figured, what the hell, even if it ends up being a 465 with an overdrive knob on it the price still wasn't too bad. So I get out there, and first he drives me past the truck it came out of, gives me some of the back story on it, then we pull up to a 4 speed manual with overdrive where he had it sitting. so we hook it up, take it up to the barn, pop off a couple of linkages at the trans to make sure it will shift, and I offer him the 200, and he accepts.

No, it's a different pattern on some of the A833's with the offset hole. I think the aluminum one MIGHT be the same as SM465. The later bells are dual pattern. The bell I have came off of an 87 truck with an SM465, but the dual pattern bell would also work with the A833. The Z bar linkage dual pattern bell is pretty damn rare and hard to find. This is the only 2nd one I've seen.

Ok. Good to know. I've got 2 of the hydraulic bells, and one z-bar bell that supposedly came out of an '84 k30
