Changed the oil and took the boy for a driving lesson in the country. Beautiful night for a cruise!

Not "my" square per se but only me and one other guy ever drive it. Swapped out the nasty, sticky original wheel for one of our AMD '78-up base model wheels, a new gauge lens and one of our prototype cluster surrounds. Forgot to take a before picture but the old gauge lens was brown/yellow and you couldn't see the gauges at all at night. Didn't have any paint or I would've done the needles too

Here's a pistol case bluetooth speaker i built for my truck, it sits on the hump under the ashtray and plugs into cigarette lighter for power.

Relocated fan temperature switch from head to thermostat housing and replaced the thermostat while I was there. The temperature delta between the head port and intake manifold port was just too much, in that the fans would kick on at a manifold temp of around 150 and of course would never turn off. The other day I drove it for a while and parked it for several hours. When I started it up again the manifold temp was 126 deg but the fans immediately started. Life must be hell tucked in amongst the exhaust manifold.

Test went fine. Fans now kick in around 185 deg. Don’t care for the look of having the switch installed in the thermostat housing but my housing already had a port so it was too easy to pass up.

I was hoping to be able to work on both my 55 & 79 C20 while having some time off. I have touched them but not wrench turning yet. I have accumulated so much over the past few years & the ripples of life have prevented me from being able to be very productive.
Well, I unloaded the bed of the 55 today & found another great storage area for some spare parts...on another future project! I really want my 76 K15 back going but this bit will have to do for now.

I need to do something similar which I am considering the ospho and rustoleum treatment. Did you wool wax everything below? How did you apply wool wax? I see gray and black?

Everything below except driveshaft and exhaust. It's black, the gray tint is from the lighting. I had a shop called "Gottsch's Goo" do all the work. Free touchups for a year too I might add. All that was done with engine bay and wheel wells comes in at a price that I didn't argue with. Hopefully, this old girl will hang around a while now. I'll post more pics when I get it back.
