I have a 76 k10. Which years of fenders and hood will fit? I’ve been searching and searching with no clear answer.

I have a line on an 84 jimmy with clean fenders and hood but dunno if they’ll work without modification. What other years will fit better? Thanks.

73-80 fenders are identical. 73-77 hood is identical. 78-80 Hood will fit on 73-80 front end but has an added style line on the very front. 81-up will have a totally different fender, hood, bumper, radiator support, and cowl. You can swap the entire front from an 81-up onto a 73-80 but the parts wont interchange. You'd need to swap the entire front end for the individual parts to line up. 73-80 all the parts will interchange and line up, but there are slightly different style lines and trim between the years.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe 73-80 are the same style and 81-87 are the same style. I have seen 73-80 trucks with a newer 81-87 front end on them, but I believe you have to change the entire front clip out to do the Swap correctly

Seems like modifications are required, so the easier route would be 75 - 80, assuming they all are round eyes. I THINK 73 & 74 have specific core supports - not sure if that would affect the fenders & hood, and the same with the 80 and a square eye.

The 81 up slope nose has a different cowl piece, and the hood hinge set up is different as well as the core support. People here have gone both ways as far as conversions so it CAN be done, but a little more than a bolt on.

I like keeping the high hoods high hoods & vice versa. :)

73-78 hoods are the same, they have the fully flat front. 79-80 are the same, flat front with a little extra styling.
73-80 hoods will all fit the same way.
For fenders 73-80 are the same.
81-87 have the same fenders and hoods. Up to 91 for burbs, K5s and 3+3.

Thanks all! That answers that. Up to 1980 will work for all three, styling aside.

You can bolt together just about anything with these trucks. Here's my '80 back in 1997 just before going to paint with an '85 front clip and an '82 bed. If you do swap the front end with an '81 and up, it's not hard to do, several of us have done it. Just make sure to buy the complete clip. Sticking with 73-80 will definitely be easier.

I really like the single round lights and look of the 70s SBs so I’m sticking with the easy swaps. Haha. I just found a hood I’m gonna go look at since mine went the way of the taco
