alright guys im somewhat in a bind.
i have a 84 k10 that im puttin 37x12.50s on. itll have 6" lift. suspension up front, blocks in the rear.
i cant decide between a 8 and 10" wheel though. i like the wider stance of a 10" wheel but im not sure if ill have any rubbing issues with it.
the truck will be about 65/35 for road and offroad. no major wheeling for a while but i still want the ability for it.
any opinions? so far the wheels im looking at are a 10" with -38 off set or a 8" with -5 offset.

also, if anyone has any pics of a 37" tire or close on some 17" or 16" wheels, id love seeing some.. i cant decide between the two!

It's gonna rub up front. Maybe not a whole lot pounding the streets but as soon as you take it offroad the rear of the front fender will get ate. That's with an 8 or 10" wheel. You could use a pair of Zero Rate Add-A-Leafs up front to locate the axle forward 1" to 1.5" to help a little. Personally I would run the 10s I just like em meatier looking like that.

This is my truck with 37x12.5x16.5 military tires on the humvee military two piece rim

I'm lifted a little more than 6" and they don't come anywhere close to rubbing only problem I had was clearing the front caliper with the 16.5" rim so I had to use a spacer that was 2" which is seen here

On stock suspension with no lift - 33"s will fit, that is what I have on mine. Its really tight.

I have 33x9.5x15's on mine, I would much rather have 31x10.5x15's though. The 33s are just a little too big and they are so tall it gives me fits with my 700r4 and 3.42 gears.

This brings up a good point... the type of tire also makes a difference. IIRC, those military Goodyears measure a little over 35" with a little wear on them. So one 37" might fit better than another 37".

I too like the meatier look of 10s. I may run some 9" classic locks. I wish they made them in a 10 but still looking.

Any more opinions on rubbing? Some swear it will. Some swear it won't.

I'm going to run 37x12.50-17s. Probably the cooper discoverer stt because I can get them at near dealer cost.
