Got my intake back today from the metal polishing shop. They did an amazing job, looks fantastic!

The manifold is a 1960s Weiand dual plane manifold that actually has the correct way to pronounce Weiand cast right into it: “Say Why-And”. The polishing shop saved the lettering for me.

I dropped it in place just to make sure I could handle it easily by myself leaning over the engine. First attempt was awkward so made a handle out of a piece of aluminum angle and put a guide stud in the front right bolt hole. That worked MUCH better. Tomorrow I’ll install it, bolt it down and get ‘er running!

What size brake kit is that

The front is 13" rotors and GMT800 '05-07 2-piston calipers. The rear is a Wilwood 140-12569 kit with 12.19" rotors and floating 2-piston calipers. This thing stops amazing!

Do you have a Hydro booster? If you don't might want to consider it. My first Hydro Boost was in my 85 Shortbed. All stock brakes, and it stopped on a dime. I run Hydro boosters in all of my trucks.

Nope, it's the stock booster with a GMT800 Tahoe master and a ~2000ish S10 reservoir. No hydroboost for this truck, it'll throw you threw the windshield as is. When racing/autocrossing, you stab the brakes hard on and off quite a bit and hydroboost doesn't do well with that. Plus it's more lines/weight/potential for leaks and I'd really hate to lose brakes and steering all of a sudden when there's walls or poles close.

Parts coming in to do grill. I can see air intake duct to small. Also, getting parts for spare hoist.

Got the Blazer all back together. Fired it up and ran it up to temp to check for leaks. So far so good!
