Here at the Clean Foundation we rescue lost and unwanted Squarebodies. Today we rescued a 89 Blazer that someone did some very unsafe stuff. Never mind the 4 inch pipe body lift. I'll get some better pics tomorrow. But here it is safe from the crusher.

That thing looks a little familiar, was it a show truck in a previous life?

Embarrassing update; I’m killing a lot of time trying to flush my cooling system, this stuff looks like it came from an orange clay mud puddle. This pic is of the 5th drain, it’s got Blue Devil flush in it now that I’ll run a little more and then probably buy more to do it again.

Don't know. Found it on FB market. I also got an 80 longbed. The LB is very rough. Crushed cab, used for target practice. It has a great grill, the square headlights. I tilt column that is already sold. The beed looks like it's in good shape. Tailgate is trashed. It has some good parts. Got them both for 700.

Is the 80 a C10 or C20?

I’d be interested in the parking brake intermediate cable guides (the bent wire pieces that hook onto the frame), if you are looking to part the truck out.

First time fixing a stripped oil pan plug. Using a piggyback drain valve with tons of JB Weld in support. :) I have to let it cure 24 hours before adding oil and checking for leaks.

IDK, a little too risky for me, I don’t believe there’s much in the way to remove it to repair properly or replace the oil pan, cheaper than another engine and the labor required to replace it.

(Edit realized you used one not shure the jb weld was needed I have used those plugs just fine without unless you pan was super screwed)I keep a couple different drain plug repair kits if you pull the pan they also have another version I use them all the time for transmission pans without drain plugs

Over-sized drain plugs work pretty good.

My glovebox has been sagging for a long time. Last Thursday, it finally gave up.

Ordered a liner from LMC that night & it arrived today. 19.95 + 8.00 shipping wasn't bad I thought.

Looks better than putting a piano hinge on it. I was able to get the sticker off without damaging it & stuck it on the new one.

Installed a new water pump and thermostat on my truck today since my old one (water pump) was slowly dying. Ended up making quite a mess when draining the coolant which was only half unexpected, but I learned some stuff along the way.

Does anyone have any helpful tips for cleaning up spilled coolant? Or know when it is no longer harmful to animals? Quite a bit spilled and got on the driveway. I threw sand down initially to absorb some and then swept and shoveled it off. I then put cat litter down since the ground was still damp/wet to hopefully absorb whatever was left. I have 2 dogs at the house that I kind of like having around and I don't want them getting mixed up with the coolant.

2 things- #1 which you already learned- Don't spill it. I use a very large drain pan. #2- I learned in a Hazwaste Class "The solution to pollution is dilution". Water the heck out of it until you think it is gone and then add some more.

Remember it only takes about a half of cup of antifreeze to kill a dog.

Finally got back around to the Blazer and finished up the bed rail caps. These were for 73-87 C/K trucks but the contours are correct for the Blazer too. Just have to cut to length and trim in around doors.

I originally thought I’d get them covered in the same vinyl used on the seats but after looking at them decided not to go that route. The polished SS looks good with the existing trim and wheels.
