Got the 2” tuff country lift on , 33x12.5 on stock rallies.Took it in a short drive and I sure hope the springs settle in and get a little softer because it seems pretty stiff still. After I get the rear driver break line replaced I’ll take it for a longer drive.

Did you tighten all the suspension after putting the truck back on the ground? Or jackstands under the axles?

Looks good!

Drug it out of the orchard. Still needs to be closer to the house before I pull and cut the front coils.

Getting ready to do the front?
Yes, as soon as my K3500 dually is back on the road. It’s dead, where I need to park Ralph. Going to trim 2 full loops per coil and run shorter front tires. Will get 2” spindles if absolutely necessary.

How tall of a tire? I had 2" springs 2.5" spindles and a 26" front tire and ended up putting stock springs back in because the cross member and a arms were so low I could not roll a low pro jack under the front if I had a flat.

205/70 or more likely 215/60. Stock was P205/75 all around, have P235/75 rears with room for 30-9.5 or 31-10.5. Truck is on 15x6 van wheels, that are stock per the spid label. Will fine tune the rear height via tire selection. P235/75 up front with same model 31-10.5 out back would be ideal.

PART 2:

Finally wrapping up the motor build for the '88 Jimmy. Doing a mock-up on the stand to confirm I have all the bolts and bracketry, etc. Also adapting to the issues due to my special application/build (and there are indeed plenty)

LS Swapped
Got the Dakota Digital gauges installed and did some cruising this weekend. It's sure nice to have working gauges again after the LS swap!

I loaded the suspension then tighten everything up . It was a lot better then the old wore out springs by a lot but like I said I didn't drive it but maybe mins because the rear break line decided it need to be replaced while putting the driver side spring on :banghead:
I am going to get that fixed and drive it some but I think it should settle in and be ok .

You're gonna wanna do spindles instead of cutting that much off the spring. You'll never get it aligned, 1 coil cut of = 2" of drop fyi. I've got ~1.5 coils cut on my truck and can't quite get the camber in spec. It's not too bad but instead of getting 40-50k miles out of the front tires, I'm getting 25-30k
