No I got it from a guy here local that has a bunch of them. I could ask him if he has one that would work for your 87 if you want me too. Then get it and ship it you. You could send me a picture of your other one so I could make sure he has the right one for your truck. Sorry that one won't work for you.

OK, wow! Doug, if your really willing to do all that and you find one that is decent that would be really great.
It is the 81-87, 2 piece vent seal version. I was looking at the latch in the one you posted, it is the latch prior to the ones that are on my truck.
This is the one I just got to install on the driver's side from @legopnuematic , Spencer. I already put a new '83-'87 chrome latch on it.

6x9s to replace the 4 6in speakers I have screwed in to plywood shoved into the corners behind the seat lol I think when I get to doing something with the center console I'll add a speaker on each side factory non radio truck so I think I'll add some speakers under the dash pad projects for another day I've got so much parts stacked up for this thing already

Well, ya dunnit.
After reading the posts about over-engine creepers, then about the tire steps, I did a bit of searching. I came away impressed with the potential.
The tire steps look simple and handy. I figure I can just get one for larger (wider) tires and add a bit of trimmed down 2x as a shim to adapt it to my narrower (8"/9") tires to minimize the angle it rests at. And, adding pool noodle or pipe insulation rim protection would further minimize any slope, WHILE protecting rims from damage it might, without the insulation, cause.
Then there is the over-engine creeper. All of them run high for my truck, and several of the photos showed the guy sitting ridiculously high over the engine bay.
It looks like there will be ample opportunity to push back down to around 42" [and higher] by way of a couple cuts and by drilling new pin/bolt holes.

installed the seat, doors next! Get those aligned and I can finish the flooring beautification.
I'm gonna put a seat cover on it. the foam and fabric on the seat is in awesome shape except were the searing wheel puked on it, That stuff won't come out.

Bride and I drove to a Cruise In at a “I Scream for Ice Cream” location. Absolutely perfect evening, yet fairly low turnout for some reason.
One car was to die for however. 1957 Chevy in the turquoise color it left the factory in (NOT original paint, just same color). Owner was there and had bought the car new (yes, he was getting up there in years!) and said his son had painted the car years ago when he was on vacation after he threatened to paint it black.

Something I've been needing to do for a while. My paint skills weren't great on the first few panels when I did my garage booth paint job. Had a lot of orange peel I couldnt live with. It was a definite ten foot hottie. So I've been color sanding, compounding, and polishing for a full week.
One fender and door down. First time attempting something like this.
It's not fun. A smart man would just repaint. Figured I'd improve my detail skills though and suffer through labor of love.

Well, this just happened.
Been hankering to get a better set of heads for valvetrain stability. I watch a lot of stuff from Eric Weingartner on YouTube, and of the budget heads, they get high marks for quality and QA. AFR stopped making the 195 enforcer heads, went with larger chambers that I didn’t like, and Blueprint has raised exhaust runners that likely would have caused some issues with my header fitment.
They don’t flow the absolute best, but anything would be better than the old camelhumps, and while I’m at it I’m going to pull the cam and see what is actually in it. I have a cam picked out for it if it isn’t to my liking.
Bonus is the heads already have flat tappet springs on them that the max lift is perfect for this cam.
Of course, this will commence when I have more money saved for parts and the rain has started falling.

Got the 2” tuff country lift on , 33x12.5 on stock rallies.Took it in a short drive and I sure hope the springs settle in and get a little softer because it seems pretty stiff still.After I get the rear driver break line replaced I’ll take it for a longer drive.
