Anyone heard of taillight conversions that are not the average ones for square body's? (ie Cadillac, vette blah blah blah). If so post up some pics.

Used to be a bunch of trucks with stock lights shaved and roll pans with "ZR-1" tail lights mounted in it. Back in the early-mid 90's.

was looking for something not so played out. ive seen alot of the vette tail lights and the cady tails but nothing original anymore. a gmt400 or 800 tail light swap would be cool, but would have to smooth the rear body lines.

I am not a fan of the Caddy light conversion. I do like the vette ones like Bucket explained. I personally just love a new set of stock ones, deep red and shiny. :) Only thing that would make that better is if I had the money to invest in LED conversion.

My problem with the 'Vette/Rollpan setups are if you ever get tagged in the back by a little Honda, all your lights get busted out. Just not comfy w/'em being that low.

I don't like them low either with the way some people on the roads are. I'd like to get some LED brake lights on the top of the Burb.

True, but a class 3 hitch mounted right behind it will do a little number on the Honda. It would at least even the score, hehe.

I like the stock ones but thought they should have separate brake, tail, and turn signal lights. like the newer trucks. Just wondering if anyone had seen any others rather than caddy and vette.

so i take it since my thread got hijacked nobody has seen anything other than caddy and vette swaps...lame
btw best deterrent to tailgaters is giant steel bumpers and brake checks. and kc lights mounted backwards at night.

I have seen, flush mount LED lights, like the Hot Rodders use, it looked OK, the guy, or gal, had three 6" red placed vertical, and one clear 3" horizontal for the reverse light under the red lights, it looked cool, looked like a lot of work. It looked like they welded up the stock lights, and went from there.

Could you elaborate on that? Just LED replacement bulbs? Or a complete LED conversion? Link to said products? Thanks.
