You can repair your own dude. I watched my Dads buddy do it on my parents Cherokee and it was very simple. He got some headliner material, ripped the old stuff off and glued the new fabric material to the headliner and re installed it.

I just looked around online, looks like a bitch to repair the existing one, but the new ones run from 300 to 500 bucks, holy ****. I think I'll stick with the thumb tacks. :shitsweak: :roflbow:

Hardest part is getting it uninstalled/reinstalled. Gluing it back on is the easy part. They make a special spray glue for it, but you gotta read the instructions on the can. When you spray the backer material, you have to wait a few minutes for the glue to get tacky before you lay the material on it. If you lay it on too soon the glue will be too wet and will show through the material.

I have seen two different styles of headliners, One is like a foamy fiber that is very easy to screw up and the other is a kind of really tough molded fiber board.

The fiber type foam headliner was not supposed to be repairable or some **** but my dad's buddy went for it and it turned out great.

The glue is fabric glue that sprays out like a super pressurized can of cheese and is also yellow.

You just pull the headliner out and peel off the old fabric a little bit at a time or maybe even cut the foam backing off as you go with a razor scraper. The material is like a really thin piece of fabric with soft foam backing and you should be able to order it from any interior place.

Did you check LMC truck? You might also check out www.classicparts.com....

LMC want's $500. :flipthebird: If I do anythign at all with it is I wil have to redo it with one of those kits like Imann said. And use the old headliner board over again. I got a $1 box of thumb tacks to tide me over until I feel like tearing that **** apart and re-doing it. I don;t want to pull the loose cloth off and have all that dried out foam falling all over the inside of the truck.

ahhh....didn't realize LMC's price was that high. A DIY route will definitely be the cheapest route to go. I wonder if there's a way to just order a new board that you can then upholster yourself. :hmm:

I was thinking about if you could stick one of those straws in a spray can of adhevive and poke it throught in a few spots to spray some in there but that would be half assed. I'll probably redo the one I got for a project and write up over the winter. I was just wondering what the options were that were out there.

No way. I drove dodges for years without them, I like it, lol. Nice and quiet and noise deadening. I could just imagine the noise in that thing during a rainstorm without it. :roflbow:
