Steering column ?

Kind of in a time crunch. Which would be easier/faster to change? The key cylinder or the whole steering column. Having to sale my new truck, so this thing will be my daily for a while.

I'd say get you a steering wheel puller and a new lock cylinder, you might could borrow one from the auto parts store for free, but I'm not sure on that one, and just replace the key cylinder. It's basically just pulling the steering wheel, removing the little plate, removing the canceling cam, getting the turn signal apparatus out of the way, and it's one retaining screw for the key cylinder. If you're in a time crunch, this is the cheapest way, and if nothing's wrong with your column, you know what you're getting into. I doubt you'd go into installing another column with the same level of awareness as to its condition. Here's a fantastic write up on the disassembly.
