My 85 C10 swb, 4.3/400, shipped with 15x6 van rally wheels and P205/75r15s. Has run 215/75s and 235/75s. Currently has Dextero DAT1 P235/75r15 XLs on the rear, going with 215/75 or 205/70 XL up front. Lightest duty suspension ever offered, 3+1 rear springs, 6 cylinder front coils. Rear flip, front coil trim so the tires will actually fit in the wheelwells correctly.

As much as I would like to run a 15x8 or 15x10 out back with 31-10.5r15s, not with a V6 and open 2.73s. Oddly enough, it shipped with HD cooling (including power steering) and HD 1.25” brake package. Special ordered out of Texas, must have been a road trip truck.

Have fun sorting your truck out. If it is like mine, time to refresh pretty much everything anyway.

Most of the '71+ full size cars were 5x5 bolt pattern too.
things were complex when it came to down size

I think the full size wagons after 77 were 5x5.. unless it was only the towing package ones, idk, but i think it varied

Wagons, yes. And also the cars with "HD" brakes. Which was a lot of them. I think standard on BOP and Cad too. But not entirely sure... I just know the Chevrolets for the most part.

When I needed new steelies for a 56 210 Delray, Parisienne and similar BOPS plus standard Caprice “old people got to church cars” were 5 on 4.75” bolt pattern. Just like S10s.
Real (rwd) Cads depended on model, could be either.
GM “does” stand for “General Maybem” after all. Rear mount distributors, in K series trucks? Someone should be hung in effigy.

Right, but HD brake option got slightly larger rotors and the 5 on 5 pattern. I don't remember, but they may have been the same as C10 rotors.

GM was known for that. Just like the FWD A-body cars. LD brakes were 5 on 100mm (4") and HD brakes were 5 on 115mm (4.5"). Wagons came standard with HD brakes. Coupes and sedans could be either.

yeah that was NOT easy for me back when I did the intake manifold, no matter where i stood it was hard, but i figured out with the plow out i could easily kinda "plank" from the front , with out a board and kinda awkwardly look like i fell in and then just feet at the plow mount under the top bar could do like a reverse crunk and kinda rotate to wiggle back while using your arm to grab something to get back up. i think i ended up using a piece of wood just to use for like a "kick stand" for an army across the intake and atop the valve covers just so i had a bit of room to use arm downward and get the hold down tightened
