Found a supposed “k20” on marketplace with what I though was a 1 ton rear axle, seems solid for the price but in one of the pictures I noticed the rear wheels don’t look right, specifically how they are riding on the axle hub. See attached picture. Are these the wrong rims or did this guy really try and put duals on a SRW? Curious to see what everyone has to say.

Those are duals likely mounted on a single wheel type hub, but they are for sure bolted to a wheel spacer to increase the track width.

No... wait... check that! Lol. Upon further review, that seems to be a single wheel axle, complete with it's single wheels still on it. But, with the outer dual wheels bolted onto spacers, which in turn are bolted to the original single rear wheels.

Some people are very industrious with their ideas, but maybe not safety-minded while doing so.

There use to be kits to install dual rear wheels on single wheel axles,I wonder if that's the kit.

I thought all of those kits used a pair of single type wheels?

IDK never seen them in person just remember they had the kits in one of our parts catalogs late 80s or so. And that's how long it's been since I even saw a picture. Are you stalking me?

I used to run dual Bud wheels on my K20 when it had a 2000# ElDorado cab over. Sold em as it liked to find the barrow ditch come winter.

Kinda looks like what @bucket said.
But it is a FF axle. And it appears to be a 3/4 ton based on the springs if they are untouched.

Not sure what craziness is going on exactly though.
What’s the front axle/hubs/wheels look like?
Bottom line, doesn’t really matter other than it may/does have a janky wheel setup (needing to be re-homes) that may be bolt on ready for normal single wheel rims.
