Rear end code

Can anyone tell me what this rear end code means, BR3 G164 2. I have been looking on rear end codes and axle codes for trucks and I can't find it. My truck is a 86 C10 2WD.

Where did you get those numbers from. Rear end codes should start with a G, F, or H. Should be something like GU4, G80.http://www.sierragear.com/gm-rpo-axle-ratio-identification-codes-3/

I got them off the rear end housing on the passenger side.

I think those are the assy stamp for the date and assy plant. Do you have a RPO sticker on the left door or in the glove box? It will look like the one at the top of the link I posted.

No PRO sticker got lost when the truck was painted. So far the only BR codes I've found are for 67-69 Camaro & Nova.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it should be a 10 bolt, 8.5 ring gear, with a 3.08 ratio. Assuming it's the original housing. There should be a couple of #'s on the pumpkin also.
