I have a 2WD and 4WD rear axle housings. These are pretty much the same Rear ends? minus the lug pattern.

I want to use the 4x4 rear end to narrow one inch on both sides then have new rear gear ratio put in.
This is so I dont have to pull my original rear end and have down time on the truck while im doing all this. Thanks

Well surprising to me, the C10 rear is 57 inches wide from drum to drum backing plate.

The K10 is one inch shorter coming in at 56 inches wide. 1/2 inch shorter on each side

Here is what im doing. Going from old school Mexican look to 18x12 in rear. It would have
fit If I had a flare side. But stepper fenders are a hair more narrow.
Thanks everyone.
