He asks for three weeks to rework your TBI.
So expect a month or five weeks with shipping delays.
My truck has taken years to complete.

My intake and fuel regulator took almost three months from them. Hopefully when we do the throttle body it will be different.

Health issues effect us all?
So very pleased he's willing to take his time and do it right.
Great guy to deal with.

Less complexity. = More efficient.

The LS is cool, more than twice the money and way more complex to R&R.
In most cases, especially with non-race applications, it's clearly over-kill.

The primary issue is the learning curve.

It took me years to fianlly agree this method is the best solution.

Hope your journey is less painful and more efficient because of my exhaustive research.

Most people won't listen.

The option for sending my chip in just got renegged by the tuner after endorsing his process in this thread.

Looks like I'm being forced to burn my own chip or go without a chip tune.

No idea what's going on.

What I understand is that I need an adapter like one of these:
Couple of 27SF512 memory chips (or a compatible one)
https://allegro.pl/oferta/w27c512-pamiec-eprom-kasowalna-27c512-pdip28-13738377530
Plus a chip reader/writer

An ALDL 12 PIN cable like this:
Has any of you tried playing with TBI and have comments on the above?

Everything you said here ˆˆˆˆˆ

is where I'm at after securing a deal for my chip burning since 2022.

Forgot I left this thread hanging without a response.
I went with Brian Harris at TBIChips:
Harris Tuning

The MOATS systems and the software and buying a Microsoft computer and downloading freeware burned me out.
I'm not a chip burner for life, I'm a hotrod and transmission mechanic. I'm a nerd and wanted to program, at first.

Hundreds of relentless hours researching.

Brian hooked me up. He's a cool guy to work with and really went above and beyond for me.

I see the systems for sale with the guy you mentioned. His team does great work, from other's I have heard who bought his kits. Just remember, most of these kit companies will not burn a chip or flash an ECM unless you buy the entire kit and harness.

I build harnesses, so being forced to buy a new harness was a deal breaker for the kit type offerings.
I can see why they do this, though. Many forum members have found out the hard way the harness issues will eat your mind and wallet with technical errors and sensor failures.

When you buy the kit you get a company that will help you with support and replacement parts if the components fail.

Brian only burns chips. You ship him a pair, he sends you the first try and then backs up with a second after you dial it in. Simple really. He uses the OEM chips or the new chips. OEM is better from my research.

Some guy in OH has taken over the market on OEM chips on eBay. Better off buying one here from a good guy forum member, in my opinion. OEM chips use ultra-violet to flash the prom.
