Makes me feel better, for sure. Been fighting a P0440 code on my Aztek for almost a year. I've replaced pretty much everything but the entire gas tank and it doesn't have any leaks or cracks.

Got a Missouri State Inspection completed this morning. Should be able to get her licensed tomorrow Since I was taking it to get inspected on my way to work this mornign I drove it to work. She sure drives nice for a 32 year old $1,500 rig!! She could use some brakes and probably shocks but he made out really well on this one

Rear bumper was pretty roached so we started looking for a replacement. It seems that no one makes new replacement bumpers for these s10 blazers so we looked at Marketplace. Long story short, got lucky that someone local to me was looking to give one away or he was going to scrap it. Everything else I found was hours away and $100 or more so I messaged local guy as quickly as possible. Met up at the local gas station and got a really nice rear bumper and all of it's brackets. Now just need to track down an impact trip. I'll post a pic as soon as I snap one....hopefully today.

On another note, he has a puff of blue smoke at start up. I assume it's valve guide seals but any tips and tricks on how to minimize this via some magic potion? Thought we'd also throw on a new PCV valve for good measure just to see if that makes any difference

Will be ordering patch panels for the ol' girl this week and get those patched in soon.

Valve seals. I took my time and did my truck over a weekend with the heads on. Probably take you a day to do that one. I put some CAT5 cable in the cylinder, brought that cylinder up and that kept the valves in place. A magnet to make sure the keepers from falling in the lifter valley.

Get all umbrella seals, about $15-20 on Amazon.

Yup on TDC Jake where both valves are closed. Nylon rope will work too.

Get you one of these. I put a couple of strong rubber bands around it where it grips the spring so it wouldn't come off.

With a 5 speed, he got the good venerable TBI 4.3 rather than the CPI 4.3 that you can no longer get a new spider injector.

Checked the numbers, I was curious. 36,663 1992 4x4 2 door S trucks made. 3,114 had the 5 speed. Correct me if I am wrong, but that looks like 47U Royal Blue and 26L Sky Blue? Of the 3,114 5 speeds, only 2 (TWO) were painted in that combo. That one was the only one of the two made to have that interior. Only 31 total made in that color combo, pretty rare.
