While its mainly lowered trucks, you may want to drive up to Phoenix this weekend for Dino's Git Down and see the vendors for specials. Over a 1000 squarebodies in one place for 2 days.

I haven't looked at the gearsets in some time. There once was a kit where you modified your existing case but I didn't see that on the site when I went & looked again. Proceed on with what you can get, it seems that's what we're all doing the past few years with lack of production.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the most significant difference that helps longevity or “durability” of a 241 vs 208 in the way it’s oiled?

Seems if you keep the right amount of the right kind of oil and service it regularly, a 208 and 241 will be pretty similar in most average uses.
