NewB question about transmission

This should be a simple question for you guys, yesterday I bought a ‘85 Chevy K10 shortbed and I’m trying to ID the transmission. It is a manual transmission 3 speed plus a 4th overdrive. I’m not sure it is even an original tranny to the truck. I am only familiar with the SM465 my 84 had...TIA for your help

Oh no! That's the very rare np 833. I have a truck with one. It will have mm7 on the option sticker if it came in the truck.

Thanks! That is what it is..... so what’s the deal with it? Is it a decent transmission or should I be looking to pick up a used sm465? The truck is just going to be a driver and won’t see any significant off road use
