Amazing workmanship. I've seen those lights in the Fleetwood Brougham but nice work incorporating them into the Caprice. It really looks like something out of a movie. What is paint prison?

Thanks man, paint prison meaning my 4 week paint job that's turned into 8 months since I dropped it off. It's all done except for the roof, I removed the landau vinyl top and having kandy patterns done in that area

Wow. That better be the best paint job ever. Mine was a two week that turned into four, and for an economy paint job, it's pretty good. There are a few spots that didn't last, but I'll touch it up eventually. About the steering wheel, I think it's a good idea, but you're right. I'm trying to keep it as OEM as possible. I'm really not as worried as I was when I first got it. I know anything can happen, but these cars aren't as popular as they were five or ten years ago, at least where the car lives. I've driven it a good bit and parked it in some pretty conventional places like it is now.

Took some pictures of my car the day I left Mississippi to come back to New Orleans before leaves, dirt, seagull ****, and tree sap made it ugly. I don’t think it’s looked this good since I’ve had it. I actually repainted the front bumper filler and blacked out the plastic insert that goes behind the grille. It’s supposed to be black, as far as I know, but the ******* who painted the car was too lazy to remove it, and it looked dumb color matched. Of course, I’ve done a ton of other things since I last touched this thread.

That's a nice clean Caprice that I'd love to 'ruin', lol. I'd do white letter tires, 8 inch rallies, lower it a bit in the front and ad some rumbly dual exhaust too.

But it's still nice as it is :)

I wouldn’t call that ruined. People do that with the G Bodies here, but the B Bodies are either stock like mine or actually ruined. If and when I get tired of it and, and if and when I get a different daily, I might give it the 9C1 treatment. Finish the cop instruments, hubcaps, spotlight, 350, maybe the suspension upgrades (I like the squishy ride feel). I’m not sure yet. I did take a step in that direction recently with taking the speedo from the cluster that @RetroC10Sport gave me and getting the mileage turned to the correct value and getting it working properly.

Here’s something new I noticed doing my occassional lighting inspection. On low beams, I have both doing fine. On high beams, one of the lows cuts out completely. Anyone with quad headlamps who’s had this happen to them before and can tell what happened, that’d help me. I could start poking and prodding around, but this looks like a very isolated issue with a single, specific solution.

Nah id go polished. Those cars look sick like that. My friend had an 86 caprice that was black with tinted windows, red interior and vette ralleye wheels plus dual flowmasters. That car was hot!! If i can find the pics ill post em.
