My truck has 8"springs but there's at least a foot of clearance with the driveshaft to slave.

Is that with full flex or just sitting normal in your driveway?

no nv4500 had a driver side slave

and the square body bell housing will not work with he nv4500

you can use the factory nv4500 bell housing or use the aa bell housing

im pretty sure my dodge nv4500 has a drives side external slave

the advance adapters t case shifter bracket is flimsy

I am going to drill and tap a spot on the nv4500 tail housing and fit a tube across to the bracket so I can bolt the back part of the bracket to the tail housing(I circled the spot I am going to drill and tap in red in the picture below)

I need to make a new rod from the shifter to the shift rails still and probably going to find a different shifter handle

advance adapters send some ****** hardware with their stuff. I replaced a lot of the bolts to grade 8 hardware.

and they send threaded rod instead of studs with the t case spacer with nylock nuts and lock washers.

the nylock nuts do not work they thread on until the nylon touches the threads then they turn the threaded rod in further

and the clutch fork is a jeep fork so I need to modify the rod from the z bar to the fork. and the boot for the fork is junk it ripped on install

I expected more from advance adapters for the price I paid for their parts

even with the spacer for the long input 205 I still had to notch the tail housing on the nv4500 for clearance for the 205 shift rail.

I took the tail housing off and took it to the machine shop he whittled it out pretty quick.

I went ahead and notched it out so if I ever need to I can run a short input 205 without the spacer.

What's the major benefit of running long input? My guess is helps with front d.line angle?

That sucks to hear about AA. I've always wanted one of their atlas cases.

it does help with front drive line angle

the truck I am putting it in is a cab and chassis stretched 2 feet so its long
and has a long rear shaft.

on a blazer or a short bed I would not use the spacer I would swap to a short input and do it that way.

my reason for using the spacer is because it was cheaper than a new short 32 spline input gear for my 205.
my truck is not lifted so my front driveline angle is ok as is.

advance adapters makes good parts the bell housing is fine I would use it again and the spacer is fine just their bolts and hardware are crap.
I really don't like the jeep fork or that you need a separate bracket for the clutch linkage. I think they could improve the bell housing a lot but it is still better than a hacked up modified square body bell housing in my opinion.

its in the truck now

I still need to hook everything up and rework the holes for the shifters

and I do not like the cross member hanging down so low. I used a cross member from a suburban. the 1 ton frame is 2'' taller under the cab so it hangs down more on the 1 ton. I had to space the transmission up.

after going over a few ideas in another thread about the nv4500 cross member in a 1 ton.

I came up with moving the cross member inside the frame. then using the spacer that was on the bolt and 1 flat washer to fill in the space between the cross member and the frame. it worked pretty good raised the transmission 1.5''
then I built two 1/4'' spacers one between the nv4500 and the mount then one between the mount and the cross member witch raised the tranny another 1/2'' 2'' total

this is only necessary on a 1 ton frame as they are 2'' taller under the cab

I only have 1 bolt on each side right now because only 1 hole lined up I need to drill the other hole on each side

Do you have a part number for the energy suspension mount? I like that allot. How much did you end up trimming off the out side of the member. (Disregard I saw your other post)

Keep up the good work. Curious to see how your exhaust works out. Are you going to be running LT headers
