My "new" OBS

When I sold my Suburban back in May, the plan was to get a C10/1500 sometime down the road. No rush, looking for something somewhat affordable, drivable with little effort (no full teardown restoration immediately necessary), and that I would be okay with parking outside part time.
So today I bought a 1990 C1500 Silverado, two tone blue, split bench seat, 145k miles, 305 tbi/700r4, 3.08 gear, no cat, one into two Flowmaster(?) looking muffler w/dual tailpipes, PW, PL, cruise, functioning A/C & cruise control, lowered w/Belltech stuff 4"/6"-ish w/C-notch and flip kit, 20"x8" & 22"x10.5" Weld Ventura Street wheels, rust free but the absolute Shiiittiest exterior repaint in the world. Looks like Huck's Olivene's younger sister w/janky paint courtesy of a second grade art class. Supposedly recent radiator, water pump, hoses, and "tune-up".
The drive home was about 2-1/2 hours w/2 hours of 75 mph interstate cruising- I love it!
Any suggestions for a pinstripe to break up the light/medium blue? To prolong the life of the 700r4? Anything else?

I'm not an OBS guy but that thing looks great! Love the color combo (obviously lol). I've seen a red/orange pinstripe/tape stripe done with this combo, but I'm not sure how I feel about it

Mine's just the usual blue tape stripe. I don't know if they make tape stripe kits for the OBS, you might could just find a local pinstriper to do something on it

I love the OBS trucks. Huck gave my 2 suggestions for pinstripe colors already, but my daughters' '97 is light blue, and has a hand painted dark blue and yellow pinstripe. The yellow is mostly worn off, but it looks pretty good where you can see it. Otherwise, just a light/dark blue combo stripe or even silver stripe would look good on yours I think.

It needs a wide stripe or multi color to cover the wobble in the two tone separation tape line. I'm gonna throw this on it for now:

May not look "right" but has to better if I can get it half ass straight.
My wife wasn't exactly thrilled with the paint but got more understanding when I told her one with paint she would approve of would be $10k more.
I want to put a catalytic converter to quieten it down a couple of decibels and clean up the exhaust smell- any suggestions for a single 2-1/2" cat? Any reservations/reviews of this Flowmaster version?

I don't have an opinion on the cats yet cuz I've always taken them off of stuff lol. I'm in the same boat though, I've gotten to where I can't stand the smell of my C10, I've gotta do something soon so I'll be curious to hear what others have to say. I've been eyeing these:

The previous owner sent me an OEM stripe kit from Phoenix graphics, but the paint tape line wasn't right. I put this $11 stripe on it from O'reilly's. First time doing a pinstripe and I'm very pleased with it.

I got universal cats from Rock auto. The price was right and I liked you could shop by size so you could try to fit it in a specific area.

I don't know why it does the "pardon our interruption" BS, but it's a Summit link.
This Made in USA cat is the one the Magnaflow website recommended. It will sit right above the trans crossmember so I wanted the flatter shape as opposed to the round ones. The unusual part is the overall length is 16", but it only has about 4-1/4" of catalyst brick. Probably could have gotten away with a shorter OA length.
Fixed my floppy door panels today with some new retainer clips and armrest repairs.
Built some starter ramps for my cheapy plastic ramps due to the front spoiler being so low:
