Do the molded dash pads look good? The ones that go over ur original dash? Or is it better to get an entire new dash?

I'm not a fan of either option, I only like the fit of the factory dash pads. The aftermarket pads are floppy and don't fit the greatest... considering how much they cost, that's highway robbery. The dash covers fit, but they look different enough to me that I can spot one very easily. Other people like them.

I have the dash pad cover on mine. I didnt install it nor do i know how long it has been on...but it is starting to seperate in some sports. Baking in the Az summer sun doesnt help Im sure.

I plan on pulling the dash after my current project, and doing a minor interior make-over. Im going to first try and remove the cover then re-install with some construction grade adhesive. Hopefully that goes well.... but just to be safe Im keeping my eyes open for an oe replacement on CL.

I have one of those cheesy dash pad covers on the 74 and hate it. It buckles after awhile and I used construction adhesive to attach it.

But that's still a dash pad isn't it? Not a complete new one

There's the complete dash pad, then the cover that goes over the cracks and stuff is just a dash pad cover.

I have one of the abs molded covers. The color does match well and the corners of the old dash show, but it's better than what I had. Eventually I will track down a NOS dash pad.

I got a new dash pad from classic industries, ran me about $220 but it sure was worth it, fit like a glove and looks OEM. I has a nice weight to it and I'm pretty sure it's leather too lol

This is one of those dash covers, cost about 100.00 and it fit OK, next time I'll go with a whole new dash pad.
