I just bought a a dash from truck parts a month ago for my 86 4x4. It was 350.00 plus 80.00 shipping to Indiana. 430 total to my door....It was frustrating when I saw the price compared to their online catalogue, but overall I was pleased with my purchase from them. Sounds like I might have got mine just before a price increase.
Did you get the vinyl covered or the urethane? If it is the vinyl covered you definitely got it before prices went up!

@ChuckN we did a Truck shop dash purchase last week. It was about $450 to Ft Worth and looks good so far. Have a few things to do before installation so will give y’all a follow up.
As @fast 99 said, opened box and it’s from dashes direct so may save cash going to them directly. We just needed a LMC break, sometimes it’s just a whipping…

Curious how it fits around the dash bezel on the earlier pad.

After buying both the vinyl pad was far straighter. Maybe I just got a bad one. It should have been tossed in the garbage which is where it is headed.

That appears to be a good quality Part, Hopefully you’ll have a good fit around the gauge Bezel. As mentioned previously, it’s a common problem, here’s a pic of an original factory dash pad vs a poorly fitting aftermarket one.

Well, beautiful day in Texas today so we thought we would try and set the dash pad from Truck Shop. Not so fast, Bezel insert did not fit, the holes were Off like a 1/16” on either side. If you try to force it, it bows out in the middle. Crap. Call Truck shop and immediately get to Gil in technical department. I sent pictures and he had a few suggestions like make the holes bigger and put the wood shipping support back on but neither were going to fix our issue. The bezel was slightly scratched as well, no peel off protective film like from LMC. Anyway, they went and opened another at the shop and said the bezel just dropped right in, unlike ours. I had to send picture of the boxes and what not and as of late today they still have not decided what the problem is, but sounds like they think it’s the dash. I like the attention they are giving the issue so far. I will let you know how it all shakes out..

what I am trying to say is we actually got about nothing done on E’s truck today!

so not going LMC and trying to save $100 may not been the best idea. We did a test fit it and it looks like its going to fit right in

Man, that’s frustrating. I get that these pads are 40-50 years old now and the molds are probably getting worse as time goes on. Just a guess. But for the premium that they are asking for less than stellar results is getting crazy.

I used a Cheyenne gauge bezel and dash bezel. The dash bezel dropped in the LMC dash pad's holes with no modifications. The gauge bezel fit the LMC dash very well also.

They are sending me a new dash pad but will be 5-7 days. They are claiming damage in shipping.. uh, no. Holes are wrong… said they are making a claim with UPS, and I will ship this one back.. so indefinite delay….
