You're right. Turbo's are the thing to have for a well rounded fun vehice. Keep all your economy and when you want it, you've got the horsepower. This is one of the things Ford is trying with the EcoBoost. I like the idea, but I don't care for the idea in gasoline powered trucks. Sure you get the horsepower up, but you don't get the torque increase you need to go with it out of a V6. I just don't see that Ford EcoBoost V6 in a truck be a good combo for towing heavy loads. Diesel has the torque built in already, and any horsepower you can add to the torque that's already there, you will see gains.
I'm not taking my time this time because they didn't last to long when they were first released.
