The last winch out i did with my rollback was 400 feet out in a semidry lake. I had 125 on the truck and no extra so i backed the truck out till i spun the tires and got the customer out then used their 3/4 gmt400 truck to hook my winch line too and pull me out it was a crazy night had mud all over my truck in places i never seen it dirty before. Bossman wasnt mad i got my truck stuck aslong as the customer was pulled out.

Hey smurph, I got your PM, no luck finding that steering column thread myself, and not sure I remember it either.

Yeah, it seems most bossmen don't care if YOU get stuck and take all day to do a recovery as long as you timed it right, and collected all the cash, and didn't tear anything up. Mud washes off, so no harm. It's pretty easy to get a bigger roll back stuck in OK red clay.

That's the best way. It sucks having to hold back because of the unknown and noone to pull you out. Only way to push it to the limit is that have someone else to help pull you out.

AGREED lol yeah maby i do need to invest in a winch one of these days
