I tried to install a push bar on the C30 over the weekend and it would not fit. It was supposedly off of our era trucks, but it was about a half inch too narrow to fit over the frame ends. Is the 1 ton frame physically wider than the 1/2 and 3/4 ton frames?

I know the body mounts are in the same spot. I would think the bumpers are the same fit from 1/2 to 1 ton as well.

the only difference between the two frames are the channels are wider on a 1ton under the cab area, I think its like 7" on a k10/k20 and 12" on a k30.... width wise should be the same

Is the Blazer frame any different? I know this guy used this thing on squares, I'm just trying to figure out how or what.

Think 72 and older were slightly narrower. If you look up the differential pin/leaf spring centers for the squares on a 4x4 (73-87) you'll find 32" which is also the measurement from the center of one frame rail to the center of the other. Since bumpers are same same between 2x's and 4x's that holds true for your c30. Since bumper brackets attach to the frame rail mid-line, 32-inches would also be the same measurement of the bolt spacing (right to left) on the push bar you have as long as the mounting brackets also mount midline of each frame rail (as mine do on my '74).

If the measurement isn't 32-inches center to center, it's not the right one.

I'll measure it when I get out there this afternoon. I'm kinda pissed about this because I thought it was going to be a nice easy project. So much for that idea...

It does not seem like the dimension you are looking for is included, but for reference - these are the frame dimensions for C/K 10, 20, 30 (& up to 70). They are all the same except where noted:

And, in case you're interested, body dimensions:

ACCIDENTS, they happen!! maybe the frame is slightly tweaked. Sometimes it is real hard to see without a tape and a straight edge
