How should I solve this starter problem

Did you whack on it with a hammer any? I heard you can fix starters that way sometimes.

Hey old boy..you know they got that "S" terminal with the little wire and they got that big terminal with the battery cable on it right?
All you gotta do it connect the two with a screwdriver and I guarantee ya the starter will work.
If you don't wanna whack on it with a hammer - get ya flathead.

Thanks! I'll see if I can get one. Got more time to work on the truck now, so I'll see if they have one at the local starter rebuild shop. They'll know exactly what I need to upgrade I'm sure. Especially if I tell them the info posted here.

EDIT:

Basically this one. If it bolts right up, I guess the only concern would be the gear teeth matching. That pic says 9 or 11 tooth drive gears. Guess I'll just count the teeth on my starter.

It say 9 or 11 tooth interchange with no modification. The way I read that is that it will replace a 9 or 11 tooth.
