Thanks. I've spent the last couple months cleaning, painting and buying parts. I hope within a week or two I'll be done so I can post an update on my build thread.

On my '75 SBC 350 the hoses are routed the same as you already have them, and that is the originally routing (to radiator, and to fitting on intake manifold).

However, there is more slack in my hoses, and the loops are big enough to let the hoses lay on the inner fender, where there is a double-hump bracket that holds them in place. I don't know if your truck used something similar.

If you run a hose to the radiator you don't need that bypass hose, the radiator is the bypass.

Actually, isn't the heater core the bypass?

wont that only work when you have the heater set to hot(control valve allowing coolant to pass)?

I'm pretty sure coolant is always moving threw the core. It's blend flaps that keep heat from entering the cabin.

It has no valve in either hose to core. I also have a pre drilled t-Stat that's suppose to let it bypass. I think I need to put a regular t-Stat in. It wants to run a little warm when idling. To much circulation.
