The ones Ted posted are even pre- KO. They still say "Radial" in the name.
I think we got mixed up. The KM’s are the mud terrain, and the KO’s are the all terrains. I was responding to 89 suburban talking about the all terrains which is what I had on my 06. I had a set of the KM’s on my jeep in high school. Those are hands down my favorite mud Terran. The KO’s were my favorite AT. I still stand by my post responding to Ted, saying that those KM’s are the best. The older ones had radial on them, just like the older all terrains did. Think the jeeps in the original Jurassic park. I don’t know the difference between the older tires that said radial, and the next generation that didn’t say radial, but the tread pattern looks the same. Well that got long winded.

Yeah, I got mixed up for sure with the KM and KO. At any rate, Ted's tires predate that. I've got a picture of the older style all-terrain somewhere. I'll find it. Iirc, it's mostly a slightly different shoulder design.

I think it's because back then we had bias-ply and radial, so radial was on the sidewall. Now radial is 99.99999999999% of all tires out there being mounted on rims.

Yeah, here's some All Terrain T/A's that are bias ply:

Size L60-15

Then here's an early Radial All Terrain T/A (pre-KO):

And a ground hog?! Lol
Correction: looks like a skidder tire type construction...

It's a Ground Hawg indeed. The match to it was posted in my previous Jackman picture. Neither have much tread unfortunately. 12.00x16.5.

Very distingushed tread... easy to pic out lol

Yeah, I REALLY wish someone would manufacture them again. They were reintroduced about 15 years ago, even as a radial, but it didn't last long.

Interco offers the "Cobalt" which liiks like an old Ground Hawg, but last I checked, nothing for the older rim sizes yet. 17"s and 20"s... which I find ridiculous because the people that want Ground Hawgs most likely want smaller rim sizes. The larger rim guys probably go with whatever is the cheapest rubber band M/T tire they can find.

Before the common Radial T/A, there was the Belted T/A. I haven't found any of those yet to add to my "relics of the past" tire collection.

Hard to find anyone who makes a good 15 anymore!! Lol

For car and 2wd truck tires, there's still the Radial T/A. I'm particularly fond of the Mastercraft Avenger GT, it's cheaper than the BFG, it's a darn good tire and it's not a modern looking design.
