Hello from France

I am Rodolphe born in december 1972 in France ans still there, i am the happy owner of a jeep CJ7 4.2 dressed like daisy duke s' jeep, my daily car is a Grand cherokee 5.9 LX, not really true, i go to work everyday with my bike (kawa zx12r 2003), and my wife drives her 1999 silverado 2500.

here is my CJ7

After the winter, i 'll try to sell the ZJ, and try to find a GMC sierra long bed 5.7 4x4, i would like to find a 87 with options.
i don't know if it 'll be a 1500/2500/3500 but the project 'll be to make a fall guy truck replica with some goodies.
of course a silverado would do the job...

if enought money it will have a ls1 engine with an awd transmission.

Welcome! The daisy CJ is pretty cool, that's not something you see everyday. And that 5.9 Grand is a one-year deal isn't it?

Welcome, cool rides, is there 80's GM trucks in your market over there or are they hard to find?

the 5.9 was available in 1997 and 1998, in France that was a limited serial to 250 vehicles, mine is an import from switzerland.

Unfortunatly in France there is not much C/K series ans most are the miltary diesel version K30, the other issue i have is the french conversion if the vehicle is under 30 years old which is very expensive (more than 5000$) and can only be done with a stock truck.
If the truck is more than 30 i can get a collection title whitch is easier.

most of the french C/K are old C series SWB, that won' make a fall guy truck, and there often rusty and expensive, most of them are chevrolet when you see a gmc is 2000$ more.
(Blazer K5 are easy to find and less expensive)

i think i'll import a GMC sierra from usa.:patriot:

Dude for that kind of money I will retrofit some inflatable pontoons on my K1500 and install a set of sand paddle tires and drive this bitch right over there, then turn around and find another K1500 and do it again.

You have some sweet rides dude, the CJ is awesome.

Cool! I'm probably getting ahead, but do you plan on any more replica vehicles after this one?

Cool rides! :waytogo: Wasn't the original Fall Guy truck round eye style headlights? I looked at several pics on google and see some round and some square headlight versions.

You did good. That's a great looking truck. And got rid of the Jeep too, Can't beat that. We call that a trade up.
