Decided to cut some valve covers

After hand-engraving some latches for the vent window with some success, the owner of the shop I take my truck to, threw me a pair of SBC valve covers and a timing chain cover - started up on the valve covers first, just doing a freehanded scroll design - here’s where I’m at so far.

Very nice! My wife does rosemaling. Very similar designs, of course 2 very different skill sets. If she messes up she paints it white and starts over. If you screw up you're screwed lol

Yeah metals can be unforgiving. Being a jeweler I’ve learned this the hard way while soldering, engraving, and setting gemstones. She does nice work man, trying to replicate naturally occurring shapes while making them look realistic is quite the challenge
