Ok so on my 88’ Gmc Jimmy(k5) the switch on the dash that controls the rear window is broken and ugly. So I’m going to try and swap the switch for a passenger window switch so I purchased a harness for it and need help figuring out what to snip and what to connect. I would appreciate any information you have or if it’s been done before, Thanks.

check the wiring diagrams to be sure. Based on window harnesses on my suburban, I guess the following.

Pink is for direct power from ignition on source. Black/blue and Blue/white is power and ground from the master driver switch when it is used. Blue and brown go to window motor. The motors on the Windows are reverse polarity - they go up and down depending which way the current flows.

I have no idea if the rear window switch can be adapted to that harness. Good luck

Why complicate things when a new proper switch is $30?
