Dash pad options

So I originally was just going to patch the dash but as I was trenching out the cracks kept cracking and the foam underneath was pretty well dust held together by the vinyl.
So I peeled it and ground off(just took the big chunks out underneath)
There's a pretty solid dent above the cluster area which I'll attempt to pry up.
I obviously need to throw some paint on there but what would be the simplest way to make it more ridged and not so delicate.
