I would think that'd shake like no one's business and you'd go through tires extremely fast.... :hmm:

All the tires I mounted myself I never had a vibration problem. Maybe just lucky I guess, I dunno. All I know is I am saving 20 bucks a wheel +/- doing it myself. Don't get me wrong, if i had one of those home balancing cones, I would give it a shot, but I have been fine so far without it.

Maybe you never go far enough fast enough :)

I picked up a set of "used" 285/70/17 falken rocky mountain ats from a local discount tire with 50miles on them for $75 a piece with road hazard. They said a guy put em on his 3/4 dmax it rained that night come back the next day traded em for some bfg km2's. they showed me the price on there computer and they were $225 a tire. Figure i got a pretty good deal

This is true. If I hit 65 mph it's very, very rare. I don't like going faster than that. I usually stay within 5 to 10 of the posted SL.

i never balance my tires i just mount them using my harbor freight tire changer the tires i buy are nylon tires from the local shop they are a bit bumpy when cold but they smooth right up after a few minutes of driving.

I've had no luck with that HF tire changer POS. I bought one for changing my ATV tires. It doesn't even work for those. Then I've tried mounting some trailer tires that were used. JUNK has been my experience with that thing.

buy some equal if you change your own tires, just throw the bag in at least the front tires to balance them
