So got to thinking about ideas on how to refresh my dash. It's still in relatively good shape compared to some I've seen around, mainly just cracked in a few spots... but it's still good enough I don't want to trash it with trying different ideas to repair/refresh it.
BUT I got to thinking. . could one wrap a carbon fiber sheet over the dash after its removed, impregnated with resin, then place a bag over it and vacuum cure the resin so it takes the shape of the dash? Has anyone tried that? I've got some experience with fiberglass... enough to get me in trouble. Thought a carbon fiber looking dash would be kinda cool when I'm going for a black interior. final product would be rock hard though after its cured. But sure beats chucking out $400 for a new "sport dash"
Anyone want to part ways with their old dash?
