I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an answer - he hasn't posted since last October. Also, his domain name - customchevytruckgauges.com - expired on March 9th.

Well crap
If you visit the Poop thread, you'll see someone probably did.

Jerry brings up a good point. If you really took the time and was patient about it, you could probably do it yourself and end up with the desired affect you're seeing in his pics. He is adding a digital clock which is cool, but for the most part, I believe he's pretty much just testing the gauges to make sure they work, cleaning the cluster, painting the interior of the housing, and installing LED dash lights. Do keep in mind, when you use the LED lights, you lose the function to dim your dash lights. They're either on, or they are off.

If it's just the blue color that you are looking for - and still want to retain the dimming capablity - try these.

They are a standard T-3 1/4 incandescent lamp (same as stock) and rated at 5W. A stock 168, by comparison is 4.9 W. However, due to the blue tint, they will probably not appear to be quite as bright.

Anyway, it's an option to consider. There are 5 backlight lamps in your cluster. So, 3 packs of these at $9 per = $27.

Alright, sounds like you're not having much luck with your cluster restoration. So, in an effort to help a fellow SB owner, I offer this for .... IDK, how about $65?

I offered it before on the For Sale thread but it didn't seem to generate much enthusiasm. Tim from Georgia wanted it. But I was able to convince him that it would not fit in his 1980 bezel.

You will want to buy a new lens - I have a couple that are kind of "alright". You could have one, but why cover up a nice clean cluster with a used lens?

I am currently just using this as a temporary gauge board. I only plug it in when I have to move my restoration projection truck around, then put it back on the shelf.

It is handy, but I can let it go and pick up another if needed. There are plenty around (not as clean as this one but fully functional). I spend so much time/money at my local junkyard, I doubt they'll even bother to charge me.

Let me know. If you are currently poor, we can negotiate the price a bit.

What do you mean by "digital"?

Are you looking to have your oil pressure/coolant temp/voltage/fuel level displayed as a numeric value?

Like instead of a normal gauge type appearance, you want the oil pressure to be displayed as "45 PSI", coolant temp to show as "195 F", the voltage like "13.4 VDC" and the fuel tank level given as a percentage of total tank capacity (a tank at 3/4 full would read "75%"?

You are right; to design and build a cockpit style instrument panel like that would cost a fortune!

In addition to the digital displays, each measured value would have to pass through a transducer (to change it to a variable electrical signal that could drive the digital display).
