Can someone help me with this flip kit?

I am on near the last step of a Western Chassis flip kit, and I'm trying to put the spring plate on the bottom of the leaf spring pack but it just simply doesn't fit. I feel like I'm missing something stupid. It's hitting the shock extender/shock bolts.

I've never done that job but it kinda looks like a pry bar or ratchet straps would line stuff up. There's quite a bit of side flex in the springs and it looks like some tolerance on the flip bracket.

Are both sides the same? The axle is centered, right?

It said work on one side at a time. I started to work on the other side today. I'm beginning to think it will give me clearance when I swap everything out on the other side. If not, I'm clueless.

I would think as long as everything is centered it would work out for you. Keep us posted.

I would loosen up the shock extender or remove it and get the shackle plate installed, then worry about the shock mount. You could always open up the holes on the shock mount if needed.
