I bought a polyurethane dash pad for my 81 and I need to paint it. My interior is green and I have never seen a green one for sale. I painted it with correct color vinyl paint($80 s pint) and it all flaked off. I even used adhesion promoter. Any ideas?

maybe sem or plastic paint? I use krylon fusion alot on plastc and it works great, not sure if they'd have a perfect match though. But is it a pad or one of the glue on caps? I painted the plastic glue on cap for old man's 84 with sem paint.

You might also make you use some adhesion promotor when painting the poly.

Polyurethane is made to resist oil, dirt, and paint. I would call a good paint and body shop to see if you can even get it painted.
