I doubt you could build a $1000 beater for less than $8500. You could get that for $8500 or less or spend that much or more over time. I got more than that in mine and I havent painted it or got into the engine or tranny yet.

^^truth....I've got WAY more than that in mine. IMO it's a good buy but I would NOT be getting a loan to get it.

Certainly to high on the price, and not fond of that of 'Trying to Be Pepto" color. It's several shades off yet, but it's sure tying to get there. I do like that the interior is OEM.

I might agree about that price being not bad if it had a V8 in it already and not an inline 6 and an SM465. Almost any hotrodder is going to want to replace that with a V8 and an automatic or maybe a 5-speed. That's several thousand dollars added to the price.

The price is up there, but is sure is clean. I love the stock (and perfect appearing) interior and I also like that it's a 250/SM465.

I never fancied myself a Suburban kind of guy, but I keep finding myself wanting to call this guy and offer him $1,200. For some reason I really like it.

Looks like that one is a really good deal.

Huh, I've never seen performance type 16.5 tires before. Interesting.

I think I've only got about 2K into my $500 beater... and I still only have a $500 beater, lol.

dont do it... you should be able to get way more truck than that for 8500!!
That trucks value is in the condition, originality, completeness, rust free, and its unmolested. I would give 8k for that round eye truck all day long even with the 6/M465.

I would too!! You're actually SAVING money in the long run by doing that as most of the work is already done and for much cheaper than what you'd have to fork out to get it there.
