Remind me that when I get ready to sell my Caprice to list it in San Antonio and Austin!!! Apparently they'll bring top dollar!! :pimp:

Foamy, are you looking for a B Body? I might be selling mine at some point. 56k miles on it and in overall good shape and rust free. The only cosmetic issue is a little hail damage on the trunk lid and paint that needs a good polish.

And the tripod mirrors.

Make sure to let us all know, that car needs to stay in good hands. Not end up lifted with stupid looking wheels on it.

I agree!! It'll be a little while still. I don't need to sell but I really don't need four vehicles and I'm sure it'll start getting in the way eventually. When the time comes you all will be the first to know. :) I just figured if foamy was lookin (based on his CL searches) I'd see how interested he was :)

Do eet. He can take a couple of days, drive it down here, hang with us for a while and fly back or he can rent a U-haul dolly and haul it here with his 4x4, we can hang out while I mod it and he can cruise back.

Hot Rod Magazine does alot of land speed racing coverage, I was never even remotely interested in it myself. After reading a little about the sport its really interesting what they build.

That Camaro most likely has a 305 to keep it regulated to a certain class it competes in. If you think 200 mph for that thing is crazy look at the vintage stuff people drive. There is cars made out of bomb shells, aviation fuel tanks, Ford flat head motors and all kinds of crazy ****.

One of My old buds here, now deceased, had a Studebaker Avante, 289 V8 Muncie 4spd and twin Paxson turboes, He worked over near salt flats a lot, welding, and He run that Stud through the gates, 189 MPH and still winding up.
