GMC had a 478 CI V6 in the 60s...But that isn't one of them.
Especially since you can count 4 plug wires on that left bank lol Chevy also had the 305 V6 back years ago too ive sold a lot of parts for them when i was behind the counter at Oreillys. A lot of the ld farmers around here have them in old C50 and C60

The 305 was GMCs as well, the 478 was based on it. It was available in Chevies.

Why would someone suggest turning a Longhorn into a shortbed? IMHO, if you don't like the extra long bed, go buy a common long bed and convert it. Or just buy a short bed to begin with.
