Ac Delco ignition module not compatable wIth duralast distributor?

I'd say that's unlikely the timing chain jumped. did you pull the distributor before? I can't remember. if you did, you needed to restick it just how you found it when you pulled it or you needed to find top dead center on No 1 and stick it with the rotor pointed at No 1.
Thank you. I had my distributor timed about a year or 2 ago so I know it hasn’t changed it’s “clocking”

Tdc on comp stroke is right when it starts to blow out air on cylinder 1 I take it?.

The rotor is pointing right between the #1 and #2 ,should I move my plugs?

It’s too far retarded if rotor is between #1 and #2 right?

I tried to start with rotor between #1 and #8 .... still no start seemed too advanced and actually had a burnt plastic smell hmm

if you are sure plug wires are on the cap right and the distributor is stabbed correctly for timing, there is a "crank no start" chart in the drivability manual. follow where that leads you. anything else is a shot in the dark.

Is the 'drivability manual' in the library on this forum , i see the 1973 to 1991 service manual in the library is that it? If so what page ? Im trying to browse through but i dont see the chart

the emissions and drivability manual is what you want.

Could it be possibly a bad throttle position sensor that keeps it from starting?

Ok I found it , I thought this would be easy lol but here is the first chart I came across thanks
make sure you have the right chart for your engine.

also, I'd be sure to trace all the plug wires to make sure that they are all in the correct spot and order on the cap.
