soo i put a 2wd cab on my k20 because it was a decent find. its an 1985 cab and i have a bolt in hump from a 70's. iv got a 208 case, will this work if i were to bolt in that hump.? Or what if i were to leave the stock hump and just cut a hole out and make my own shifter like out of an aftermarket type thing?? ideas??? pics please?

Thanks

Liam

The hump goes back under the seat a little, I had to cut the bolt flange for the bolt-in hump and the t-case hump back under the seat out of my K cab and weld it into my C cab. If you dont have that option you can just put a 2" body lift on and get by.

If the donor cab was a manual tranny, it should already have the high hump. If not, you have to do what C4 says.

If you still have the K cab look at how the hump for the t-case goes back under the seat. You'll have to have that to clear, otherwise just body lift it. I dont know if a hockey puck lift would be enough though.

It will help you clear a manual trans but not the t-case. If you have a large gap at the back of the bolt-in hump you can see that there is more to that floor pan that goes under the seat for it to really "work". I would have to take my bench seat out to get a pic of what I had to do. Dont know any better way to explain it, other than look in a K cab truck that doesnt have a seat in it to see what I'm talking about.
