I've got some on the list to be ordered. Thanks again for the heads up on this. I plan on changing this and the engine oil this weekend to make sure it's all fresh. I wish I would have known about Supercharger oil before now so that I could have asked the seller when it was last changed LOL It was always maintained by a local dealer so I'm sure it's in ok shape but there's still that unknown factor.

I would go ahead and change valve cover gaskets, fuel injector o-rings and change SC fluid and coupler (this job STINKS...Literally). If you have questions, www.w-body.com. There's a few other GMSB members over there.
Well, I tried signed up for w-body.com but I didn't pass some security check when I answer their question of what is 2+2. Apparently it did not want '4' so I guess that site isn't for me or i'm just a bumbling idiot (possibly both are true LOL) :)
And apparently I can't even send a message to the admin on that page because I "don't pass security check" :roflbow: I give up. I'll take your word for it that it's an awesome site :happy175:

There's a coupler in the supercharger as well that Jay mentioned, it would be good to replace it. It's not a hard job at all. They tend to get noisy over time and make a racket at idle.

I remember when this forum was new, you had a Grand Prix as a daily. Full circle, eh? Lol.

My brother used to have a '98 GTP and then an '01 GTP and he tinkered with both of them. I'll check to see if he has any leftover goodies. My stepmother used to have an '00 GT, but it burned badly in a fire, so no parts left from that one, lol.

I don't know how much actual "building" I'll do to this thing but who knows. It's definitely a neat car with good bones so you never know what could happen.

So a few months back I was involved in an accident which totaled out my Saturn. Ever since then I've kinda been lost with what to do about a DD. On a temp basis I tootled around in a Corolla and I found out quick that I hated that thing and it had virtually no redeeming qualities. Wasn't even all that great on gas mileage so I sent it on down the road. Well, I stumbled across this GTP. It does have about 200k miles on the clock which is about 10k miles a year since new but it has been nicely maintained during that time. Overall, it's in very nice, clean shape and all the seals are super dry. The only thing that needs attention is the front hubs and after winter I might handled some rust on the rockers that is currently being hidden by the ground effects but other than that it's just a solid, stock GTP that does what it's supposed to do and everything works like it should.

On to the pics....

Yeah, I had an 05. Was a decent car but just a base GP. This car has a lot more to it and overall is more fun. :)

If your brother has anything cool let me know!!

So does anyone know of a place where I can get new interior parts or body panels for this car? Is there an LMC equivalent for a 99 grand prix? LOL I'm thinking I'll just have to get nice, used stuff off a parts car but I'd really rather buy new if I could but have had no luck googling and finding anywhere that sells this stuff.

Just leftover GM stock and used parts, far as I know.

I've found some OEM part numbers of gmpartdirect.com so that's helping. Some of the stuff I'm going to have to scavenge off a car, though, it looks like. Such as rockers when I eventually replace those. Not looking like those are available other than on eBay which I can't tell what kind of quality they are with their sketchy, generic pics.

My brother actually had a nice used set of rockers, it's one of the things I was hoping he still had. I haven't talked to him yet though.

Cool. Let me know when you do. It’ll be a bit before I get real serious about searching for a set so if you talk to him in the next few months I’m sure I’ll still need them :) I also need a passenger rear qtr panel :)
